How Does BOTOX® Work?
When BOTOX® is applied to the patient’s face, it relaxes the contraction of facial muscles by blocking nerve impulses. Since these muscles will no longer be able to contract, the face relaxes and this softens and reduces wrinkles and creases in the skin.
The treatment is not permanent, so patients should anticipate re-treatments every 3-4 months to prevent further wrinkles from appearing, though each application should also reduce the depth of newer wrinkles. In this respect, BOTOX® can also be used preventatively, to delay the appearance of wrinkles.
We only use Board Certified licensed physicians and no RN’s doing the job.
Treatment takes about 15-20 minutes.

When To Start Botox: How Young Is Too Young?
If you’re looking for a hard and fast rule about when to start Botox, we’re going to disappoint you, because there isn’t one. Although many people start getting preventive treatments in their 20s and 30s, there’s no one “magic” age when you should start getting it.
Instead, you should focus on your skin and its issues. Once you start noticing fine lines beginning to start, that’s when you should consider Botox. If you want to prevent the earliest fine lines from becoming full-blown wrinkles, preventative Botox can be the solution.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Botox?
Botox is a quick, minimally invasive procedure that is great for a wide range of people. In general, men who meet the following criteria are excellent candidates for Botox:
- Physically healthy
- No history of neuromuscular disease
- At least 18 years old
- No known egg allergies
Good candidates for Botox injections will also have reasonable, healthy expectations about the results Botox can offer. Men who are unsure should schedule a consultation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. BOTOX® has been used safely and effectively since 1989. It has been used cosmetically for over 20 years now, with no unexpected negative effects. It is a very popular treatment, as our many satisfied patients will attest.
As with any needle, you might feel a pinch when the BOTOX® is injected. However, we use ultra fine needle to minimize discomfort and create a virtually painless experience. Treatments are always made as comfortable as possible according to the treatment and the individual’s personal requirements.
The most common side-effects of BOTOX® are mild pain and tenderness around the point of injection as well as very mild swelling, which which can be experienced by any type of injection and should subside within 48 hours. Very occasionally, the treatment may cause other muscle groups to relax, which can give the appearance of drooping eyebrows or eyelids. The Board-Certified physician who will perform your BOTOX® procedure is highly trained and skilled in the proper technique required for the unique facial and muscular makeup of men. As a result, to date we have no documented cases of this type of side effect occurring among our patients.
With Botox anti-aging treatments, results begin to appear in three to five days, but may take up to a week. Finer under-eye wrinkles or face wrinkles will disappear right away while more established forehead wrinkles take more time. Overall, you will see wrinkle fillers with regular usage of Botox, as well as overall reduction of face wrinkles. If the wrinkles are very deep, ancillary treatment with wrinkle filler materials, about two weeks post-injection, may be necessary to achieve the best result.
The effects of wrinkle-reducer treatments last up 3-4 months. Generally, effects seem to last longer in patients who have had a series of injections administered just when the effects of the prior Botox anti-aging treatments begin to wear off.
